Polyphonic concert with In Cantu
In’Cantu is a vocal ensemble dedicated essentially to Corsican polyphony. It brings together artists from both prestigious groups and the lyrical world, driven by the desire to return to the sources of polyphonic singing, pure and authentic.
In’Cantu aims to be a bridge in the transmission of the polyphonic tradition for the island’s public, but also a witness to the vitality of Corsican culture for an audience from other horizons. Its repertoire, made up exclusively of songs performed a cappella, includes both sacred songs (masses from Sermanu, Rusiu, Sartène, etc.) and secular songs (paghjelle, madrigali, terzetti, etc.), alternating between very old tunes and forays into contemporary creations.
