Solange Favre’s voice is playful, her vitality contagious and her creativity boundless. Depending on the time of year, you can find the young woman picking olives, preparing delicious jams, collecting honey, or even coating clementines with chocolate… “I grew up here and always saw my father working the earth and extracting everything it had to offer us, so naturally this influenced my path”, says Solange Favre, before continuing: “I left to study on the mainland, and had a few different jobs before heeding my father’s call and coming back to take over”.
Now Solange and her father still work together, even though he’s retired. “We’re voracious workers and we love what we do, so, ‘retirement’…”, shrugs the young woman. Between harvests, being present at fairs and markets and receiving people on the farm, Solange works on all fronts. “You know, the most satisfying thing for me is when someone arrives at my place by accident and then comes back the next year to taste new products. ” And that’s where Solange’s happiness lies!
