Set in small mountains, Zigliara is a typical village full of character, tiered and stretched on a mountainside, made up of old houses with beautiful arches.
An important Paleolithic presence was found in Zigliara including lithic furniture, objects of worship, and various anthropomorphic works. You can still see the remains of a fortified habitat further upstream of the village: the Castellu d’Urbicchini.
In Ramasola, there is one of the oldest manor houses, dating from the early sixteenth century. However, several of these homes were destroyed during the feudal wars against the lords.
